Website Photo Ordering

Here we go with another exciting season of Baseball! I am doing my best to get photos of as many teams and divisions as possible. As always, I want to make the full resolution copies available to you so you can make prints with the best quality.  If you copy and download photos from the website you may find they don’t print very well. The file sizes of the original photos are too large to email to you.

It is not physically possible for me to provide prints for all that request them.  I am happy to provide them but the requests have gone beyond my ability to provide them to you both in the time required and the costs.  Starting with the 2007 season, I needed to find a means of delivering these prints to you and have decided on the online service Shutterfly (www.shutterfly.com).  What I can do for you is to upload the full resolution versions of the photos you want and then provide you with a website address and a password.  You can then open the collection that I have uploaded in your family name and order as many prints as you like.  Prints from wallet size all the way up to 16x20 can be ordered.  You also have the capability of cropping the photos right online before ordering your prints.  I encourage you to crop the photos before ordering prints, the ones displayed on the website are usually cropped to focus on the subject (your kids!).  This is an experiment, I am hoping you like it and it will save me a tremendous amount of time.  In order to have your photos uploaded for ordering please follow this procedure carefully:

1. Email me with the photos you would like.   Please do NOT send me the numbers on the thumbnail photos.  Please DO NOT send me the numbers on the thumbnail photos.  I need the filename that can be found at the bottom of the large view of the photo.  So click on the thumbnail, then scroll down to the bottom of the photo and send me that number.  The last three digits are all I need so long as you provide me with the date of the game and the teams involved.  Think of the time you will save me by getting the filename… thanks.
2. Once I upload the photos, I will send you an email indicating they are ready to be ordered.  You are under no obligation from me or Shutterfly to order any photos.
3. The PBA Shutterfly webpage can be found at: http://plumsteadbaseball.shutterfly.com
   The password, only available to you and those you want to provide access to your photos will be sent to you, you will receive this in a confirming email.
4. Once you log in (you do not need to sign up for anything to view or order photos) you will look for the album with your family name.  Click on it, select the photos you would like to buy prints for and then follow the instructions on the screen to get to your size and quantity options.
5. That’s it!
6. Once you have ordered your photos, at your direction, I will leave the photos available online until the end of the year or I will remove them immediately if you request.

Please note, this service is  provided first to supply you with quick and easy access to your photos and secondly to save me the time required to process these prints for you.  Neither Plumstead Baseball nor I receive any portion of the price you pay for these prints.  My philosophy is that you are the owner of these photos and as such you are entitled to full access for making copies.  The password protection is provided to keep this feature in the PBA family.  Only those in our mailing lists (and anyone in your family you send it to) have this password.

I will of course still be happy to provide you with a CD of the photos free of charge.  As above, tell me which ones you want by filename and I will email you and let you know when you can pick up the CD.

I have used Shutterfly in the past, and I am very impressed with their prices and services.
